Despite Valve’s co-founder, Gabe Newell, commenting recently about not selling his company to outsiders or giant corporations, this has not stopped today’s waves of rumor in the Korean media. According to various reports and sources (see below), the CEOs of both NCsoft and Nexon were in North America holding talks with Valve yesterday to buy the company for
nearly USD 900 million. So far, none of the 2 companies’ spokesperson have answered queries about the topic.

Nexon is currently on a roll for the past year, from being stock-listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange to buying over closest rival, NCsoft for nearly USD 700 million. Is this purely a rumor, or are talks really getting started over the deal?
