Borderlands Online – Shanda Games confirms online shooter is no more

Following the closure of 2K Games China, which was working on Borderlands Online, would-be publisher Shanda Games remained silent on the issue with no updates. Earlier today, a Shanda Games representative finally acknowledged the demise of Borderlands Online, though he mentioned the Chinese developer is now pursuing the rights to make a mobile game based on the Borderlands IP. It is certainly a shocker that Borderlands Online, which look pretty polished, will be shut down in such an unceremonious way. Rest in peace!
